We welcome Detective Constable Derek Gray presenting “Frauds and Scams 101” at our April 20 monthly meeting.
D.C. Gray Graduated in 1996 from University of Guelph earning a B.Comm. and started his career in the hospitality industry. He took the step into policing with Halton Regional Police Service in 2008, and worked from 2016 to 2022 in Criminal Investigations in the Burlington Elder Abuse and Financial Crime Unit.
He then advanced to the Regional Investigations Financial Crimes Unit in a Fraud Intake role between 2023 to 2025 and as of January 2026 in Major Fraud investigations. A local Halton Region resident with a wife and 2 adult children, he enjoys spending his time off at the gym, gardening and travelling.
This promises to be an interesting and informative talk, with D.C. Gray inviting questions from our members.
