Honouring the Past..Inspiring the Future

From October 16, 2024, to January 5, 2025, CFUW Oakville proudly presents an exhibit marking the 75th anniversary of the CFUW Oakville Club*. This exhibit is the result of extensive work and collaboration with our esteemed partners, listed below.

Since our very first meeting in 1949, CFUW Oakville has made significant contributions to the community. This exhibit will trace our accomplishments, landmarks, and profiles of inspiring members over the years.

We invite you to explore this rich history and celebrate with us.

The exhibit will be open to the public starting October 16 at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, located at 2302 Bridge Road. The Centre’s hours are as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday: until 10:30 PM
  • Friday: until 9:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: until 7:00 PM

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our talented collaborators and partners:

  • Halton Region Administration and Heritage Services
  • Queen Elizabeth Park Community & Cultural Centre
  • Oakville Museum
  • Oakville Historical Society
  • Town of Oakville

*CFUW is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization with 94 clubs across every province in Canada. Our local Oakville club encourages lifelong learning for members and has a proud history of contributing to or enabling scholarships for young women to pursue higher education.
