Virtual Discussion & Expert Q&A on “Our Planet: Our Business”
“Our Planet: Our Business” is a film that was created by the World Wildlife Fund and Silverback Films. They worked with the team behind the Netflix Our Planet series to show audiences the economic challenges we face from environmental degradation and the role that businesses must play in creating solutions to the fundamental dependency of our economy on nature.
On Thursday November 25th at 7 p.m. CFUW Oakville, with collaborators from World Wildlife Fund and Halton Environmental Network are hosting a virtual Discussion and special Q & A. Prior to the event, you can watch the film at your leisure, then on November 25th participants will share their impressions, hear from guest experts, and learn how we can help to build a sustainable future.
You will be able to enjoy the film online (links to the “our planet” site film and to the YouTube option are below) then join the discussion session via a zoom link we will send by email prior to November 25.
The film combines beautiful wildlife footage with the voices of influential business leaders. It shows how economic stability depends on nature’s stability and it ends with a positive message that change is possible and businesses can play a fundamental role in saving the planet.
We will welcome guest experts Amy Castator, Specialist, Living Planet @ Work at WWF, Simone Hicken, VP Philanthropy & Donor Engagement, WWF and Katrine Handley-Derry, Marketing Manager and Generation Green Project Lead at Halton Environmental Network
