CFUW Oakville Spring Dinner

On May 4, 2026 Anthony Bastianon, Musician, Composer, Educator will be our Guest Speaker for the evening, his presentation is “Secrets of the Music Industry”.

We welcome Detective Constable Derek Gray presenting “Frauds and Scams 101” at our April 20 monthly meeting.

Stephen Ilott is our March 16 speaker with “Decluttering for Seniors”. For over twenty years and 3000+ homes worked on, his passion for organizing, downsizing clients and decluttering still interests audiences eager to have an ally who will motivate, downsize and reinvent their lives….

On February 23 we welcome Jill Heinerth with “The Science of Cave Diving”

From technical dives deep inside underwater caves to being the first person to swim inside Antarctic icebergs, Jill Heinerth, a Fellow of the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame, collaborates with climatologists, archaeologists, biologists, and engineers worldwide.

The Guest Speaker will be Carole Bertuzzi-Luciani presenting “How to Be Buoyant in the Turbulence“. Our 2025 Holiday Dinner on December 8 at the Oakville Conference Centre promises to be an enjoyable event for our members.

Our November 17 speaker is Investment Advisor Michael Bowen presenting:  “What is money? A brief overview of its history and evolution to bring us to where we are today.”

For over 20 years, Michael Bowen has been working with clients to develop comprehensive plans to meet their financial needs and grow their assets.  

Our October 20 General Meeting features speaker Bill Redelmeier with: “Southbrook Organic Vineyards: a conversation on our commitment to quality!”

Bill Redelmeier is a passionate entrepreneur and connoisseur of food and fine wine. Together with his partner Marilyn, Bill guided the evolution of his family business from a 19th century Richmond Hill cattle farm, through a roadside vegetable stand in the 1980s, to a thriving garden market, and now an award-winning winery.

On September 15 our guest speaker will be author Andrew Welch presenting:  “No More of More – Enough is Enough”.

With a mission to provide unique insights on global issues, Andrew Welch combines heuristics and observations from multiple disciplines to communicate historical solutions with engaging narratives.

CFUW-Oakville announces Scholarship Winners: $34,600 for 2025

CFUW-Oakville announces the successful recipients of the University Women’s Club of Oakville Scholarship Fund awards and scholarships for 2025.  CFUW-Oakville is pleased to announce scholarships of $34 600 in total to help local students with their educational journey.  These young women were selected from the city’s publicly funded high schools, based on high academic achievement, outstanding community service and demonstrated leadership.
